Piedmont Counseling Center provides outpatient mental health services. We serve individuals, couples, and families of all ages. People come to us for help with all kinds of issues. Our clinicians are able to help with many common issues, such as learning to better cope with stress, overcoming depression, grieving, anxiety, and adjusting to significant life changes. In addition to these general therapy skills, our staff also specialize in several key areas.

We get tremendous satisfaction from reducing suffering and promoting peace and happiness in the lives of our patients. We work hard to be responsive and welcoming when people seek our services. Dr. Natalie Yates, Dr. Natalie Yates, LCSW, specializes in working with adolescents and adult women with mood disorders or other issues with womanhood. Dr. Yates offers Cognitive Behavioral Therapy with more than 15 years of experience. If you or your adolescent are struggling with anxiety or depression, Dr. Yates can help. She is currently only offering video or phone sessions at this time.

Dr. Dave Spriggs, Licensed Psychologist, specializes in helping with relationship issues, such as marital problems, pre-marital counseling, and couples counseling. Dr. Spriggs works well with individuals who are working towards recovery from depression, anxiety, and panic attacks.

Dr. Spriggs also specializes in Christian Counseling and has advanced training in integrating Christian Spirituality with the counseling process in a manner that is ethical. Dr. Spriggs is skilled at helping Christian patients discuss faith issues (such as forgiveness) during the counseling process. Finally, Dr. Spriggs works well with the clergy. Dr. Spriggs evaluates candidates for ordination in the Wesleyan Denomination and is a frequently used referral source for Wesleyan Pastors.

Mr. Terence Hunt Mr. Terence Hunt is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC). He has over 20 years of experience in his field. In addition to being licensed as a counselor, Mr. Hunt is also a LCAS. He also offers Christian counseling, marriage/couples counseling and family counseling. He also offers counseling with teenagers 13-17 years of age. Mr. Hunt is able to help with a variety of issues, including depression, anxiety, grief and trauma. He also works with military veterans.

Mr. David Benson Mr. David Benson, LCSW is a Trauma/PTSD specialist. He is skilled in EMDR and Hypnosis Therapy. He works with military veterans as well as civilian patients. He offers counseling for a variety of issues including PTSD, trauma, stress, anxiety, depression and grief. He offers marriage/couples counseling as well as children beginning at age 11.
